Baba Prasad is a leading thinker in the area of innovation and leadership. He founded Vivékin Group to help organizations implement innovation strategies and develop leadership. Through eight years of advanced research in strategic management, cognitive sciences, and educational psychology, at the Wharton School, Purdue University, and the University of Minnesota, he created a unique methodology based on theories of human intelligence to find and foster the innovational capabilities of individuals and organizations. He has extended this framework to also address leadership development.

After finishing his Ph.D. in Operations and Information Management at the Wharton School, Baba Prasad taught in the business schools at Purdue University, University of Minnesota, and the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. Prasad earned his BSEE from the Indian Institute of Science, his Master’s in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics from the University of Hyderabad, and his second Master’s in Computer Science from Kansas State University. Since 1997, he has also been a Sloan Research Fellow at the Wharton Financial Institutions Center. In his teaching career, he was rated MBA faculty of distinction at Purdue’s Krannert school, and consistently received high ratings at The Carlson School of the University of Minnesota.

Prasad travels extensively and some of his most creative thoughts have emerged in crowded airport halls, or while looking at the backs of airplane seats. He lives in Chapel Hill, NC with his wife (a professor at Duke University) and their two daughters.
